About Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU)

ZJNU offers a wide range of courses and programs for Chinese and International students. It has 65 undergraduate programs, 151 master’s programs, and 20 doctoral programs. The university has a student population of more than 25,300 undergraduates, 5,300 postgraduates, 1,500 international students and 16,000 students from education programs. ZJNU has a competent faculty and staff numbering to 2,840.
ZJNU's goal is to provide students with professional experience so they can excel in the global economic market. It has formed academic ties, exchanges, and cooperations with more than 140 foreign universities and institutes in more than 50 countries. You can apply for exchange programs sponsored by partner universities. ZJNU follows its university motto of “wisdom with virtue, integrity with innovation”. The university is moving forward to build itself as a center of teaching and research.

ZJNU is in Jinhua, a city in the central part of a province which has a rich culture and history.

Accomodation

ZJNU has a seven-storey building called the International Students Dormitory where you can live while in China. The building has an elevator, and rooms are equipped with furniture, air conditioning, bathrooms, and internet access. Every floor has a kitchen area and a washing room. You can choose to stay in a single room for 30 RMB per night and for a double room 20 RMB per person per night.
If you take graduate degree programs, you will stay in the Qiming Dormitory. This dormitory has internet access, hot water, and heater/air-conditioner units, and come furnished with beds, desks and chairs, desktop bookshelf and a closet/wardrobe.
If you want to live off-campus, you have to inform the International Office. However, this will not be covered with scholarship funds.
